Purpose:
The Ascension St. Vincent Foundation awards nursing scholarships annually to deserving Ascension St. Vincent associates pursuing degrees that will help them further their nursing careers. Scholarships are made possible by generous contributions of individuals, corporations, and foundations in recognition of the outstanding nursing care provided to Ascension St. Vincent patients and their families.
Award:
The number and dollar amount of awarded scholarships changes each year based on available funds. In 2025 alone, 88 scholarships totaling $399,500 were awarded!
Scholarships cover tuition and fees and are paid directly to the educational institution.
Eligibility:
You must be an Ascension St. Vincent (full-time or part-time) Associate who has completed at least one year of consecutive employment at an eligible Ascension St. Vincent Hospital.
Ascension St. Vincent Foundation Nursing Scholarships are available to Ascension St. Vincent associates who work at the following facilities:
• Ascension Medical Group
• Ascension St. Vincent Breast Center
• Ascension St. Vincent Cancer Care
• Ascension St. Vincent Carmel
• Ascension St. Vincent Fishers
• Ascension St. Vincent Heart Center
• Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis - 86th Street
• Ascension St. Vincent Joshua Max Simon Primary Care Center
• Ascension St. Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital
• Ascension St. Vincent Stress Center
• Ascension St. Vincent Women and Infants Hospital
• Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at Ascension St. Vincent
You must be applying for or currently pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, Master, or Doctoral degree in Nursing at an accredited school
Previous scholarship recipients are eligible to apply for a one-time 2nd year scholarship payment or may reapply if pursuing a new degree.
Application Submission Deadlines and Tasks:
Your complete online application including essays and manager recommendation must all be submitted online by midnight, April 1, 2026

2. Transcripts for first time applicants are not required, transcripts for 2nd year scholarship payment applicants are required.
