Tips & Tricks to Complete Scholarship Applications
Please note that the application should be Created and Completed by the Dependent/Applicant NOT the Old Dominion employee.
Purpose: To provide a college scholarship to eligible candidates be they a senior at high school or already enrolled in college.
Award: One renewable scholarship of up to $6,000 per year will be awarded to selected candidates by a committee at Edcor, sponsored by the Earl and Kathryn Congdon Family Foundation
Eligibility:
Applicant must be a dependent* child, age 26 and under, of full-time Old Dominion Freight Line (non-executive/director-level employees) who have a minimum of three years of full-time employment with the company as of the application deadline date.
Applicant must be a senior at High School or a High School Graduate.
Applicant must have at least a 2.75 GPA (unweighted).
Applicant must demonstrate involvement within the school and community.
Applicant must have/be graduating from High School by June 2025.
Applicant must show proof of enrollment(or letter showing they have applied) from the college or university they intend to enroll at in Fall 2025.
Applicant must submit ALL completed materials by the deadline (Monday, February 17th, 2025).
